Re: oil lines

I have a 99 xtreme. Had to replace lines two months ago because they were leaking bad, about a quart in 20-30 miles. Bought lines at o-reilly's for about $40. Took about 45 minutes to install and clean up. Just raise vehicle and put on jack stands. There is a 10mm bolt that holds the lines onto the oil filter adapter, remove the bolt and the lines are free. There is one clamp bolted to the driver side front of the oil pan, remove it. Then you remove the special clips that hold the lines to the radiator, I used a small dental type pick/hook to remove the clips. Then just remove lines. Install new lines in reverse order and check for leaks. I had a little trouble installing lines back into the radiator and had to slightly bend the new lines to fit like the factory ones. I found it easier to install the special clips after the lines are fully seated. I also had to remove my cold air intake to make room for replacing the lines. Hope this helps.
