Re: Who here is daily driving a 67/72?

My '72 has been off the road since May '15. Hopefully in the next week I'll be driving it again. I use it daily from the second rain after salt is spread till it's time to spread it again. Pretty much March-December, 9-10 months a year. I wish I lived where I could drive it year 'round. I used to run a winter truck and a summer truck. I'd have all winter to get the summer one in shape and visa-versa. By the mid-90s I stopped running any in the salt.

So now I'm looking at the FITech fuel injection system but since my under bed tank doesn't have a return line I'd have to use the FITech fuel control center and it seems it has a vent problem on some applications. I do want to keep the original engine and it runs so good!
Something isn't right with that 307. The heads or carb are wrong? I've gotten 13 out of one in a '71 K/20 with 37/14.50 tires and 4.57 ratio. Is it a 2bbl? I put a GM 4 bbl manifold on with a Holley spread bore 450cfm. It had 1.94 valves and an RV cam.
