Re: Replacing the “Fuel Sock”?

I replaced the sock in 2013 as part of my frame off, no sure where I got it. About four months ago I had the carb rebuilt and the rebuilder told me there was a little debris in the bowls, check your filter. I opened it up, Russell 40 microns, and it was full of fine particles, I cleaned it out and replaced it. I pulled the sending unit to check the tank, the sock was mostly gone, I removed what was left and replaced the sending unit. I opened the filter again last week and its about 1/4 full again. Here's a picture with a coin to judge the particle size.
