Posted else where, but thought I would add it here too. I have determined I am going to shorten the bed by just removing 20 inches out of the middle of it. I've seen other guys shorten their fleet sides by removing 12 inches out of the front and 8 inches out of the rear. Since it's a stepside I am just going to remove 20 inches out of the middle. and move the bolt holes for the fenders. We'll see how it turns out.

**August 6, 2018 UPDATE, 12" out of the middle of the frame and 8" off the rear will change the frame from a longbed 127" to a shortbed 115" wheel base. To shorten the bed 12" out of the middle does work, but the correct repositioning of the bolts is moving half 14.5" forward, and half 5.5" to the rear. The stepside step is 14.5" shorter then the longbed step. See page 5.***
