That's pitted pretty bad it looks like in the pic...if it's not pitted though ,then the 80g by itself should do it..
I've never done the acid stuff before...
But the rust all needs to be removed
But your on track with the 80g and epoxy....just about any parts store that sells paint will have epoxy primer..summit and eastwood both carry epoxy...but if you want a quality primer go with SPI..
