Dave,
Thanks so much! Another guy in a different forum mentioned it by sheer coincidence (see post #4 & #6 at this link:

Glad you could get interior pics, that says a lot about its condition. Strange thing about it, it isn't painted in colors shown in brochures for '76 & '77 Chalets. They always have tan colored camper shells and totally different stripes. See:

But, I have seen '78-ish Toyota Chinooks with somewhat similar orange and yellow vinyl stripes on white fiberglass. This one has bucket seat color patterns right out of a '77 GMC Jimmy brochure and the countertop woodgrain pattern indicates it is a '77 version, so I'm wondering if it couldn't still be a GM factory version that simply wasn't like the standard ones, or if it was a one-off version put together by the Chinook Mobilodge people. Its serial number is 1595 with a build date of Nov '76, but that doesn't mean a whole lot. Chinook could have kept this one in inventory and put it on a '78 Blazer. Mine is #1747 built 1/77, but it is definitely on a '77 Blazer.
Or, this could be a repainted camper unit on a different "non-numbers matching" '78 Blazer.......
