I think that might depend on the strength of the spring in the hood release latch spring (72 latch). When I pull on mine, it pops the hood all the way open. Maybe I need to work on that?
It does and you can mount it to any location that the cable can reach.
I think it would be pretty difficult to open this setup by reaching through the grille. Not impossible, but not easy and way harder than having a handle hanging out there,  . Bottom line, if someone wants in bad enough, they'll figure out a way,  . |
True I guess if they wanted in they could just break the window and open it that way.
