You are correct that it is always heavy and the throttle is always down. Between that and disabling the active torque management, this one didn’t survive. I was told during the last rebuild that it got a billet converter, heavier clutches, and revised valve body but now they are saying maybe that wasn’t the case... I’m curious to see what the bill is.
Truth be told Marcus, I would run a good auto myself. The 4500 is nice but I do hear it "talking" when I work (abuse) it. Just got done hauling four 3500# + loads of beach ball and watermelon sized boulders with the 63. Filled above the sides of the bed. In a hurry as the rock was free and the guy was going to call an excavator to get rid of the rest. That massive 4500 didn't seem as big anymore and was making some weird noises.

Maybe time to start an Allison swap thread? If anyone could do it, it'd be you!
