I got a little bit of a start on my build today. I put my new timing gear on the crank and got the cam in, then ran into a little snag.





I was going to check the mains with Plastigage, but all I had was too small, and besides it was way too brittle. It's pretty old, so I figured I'd just get some new that's the right size. Then I got to thinking that maybe it was brittle because of how cold it is in my shop, so I decided to get some propane, too, and be all ready for next weekend.

Oh yeah, I got my damper back from Damper Doctor, so I'm all set.
