one of the problems I kept having was when you click on the add link in the post thingy the window already has
http://www. in it an I was cutting and pasting the full adress after that so it was doing IMG]http://www.http:/www.{link address here.com}[IMG
by double checking and removing or pasting over that extra
http://www. my images replaced the dreaded red x.
not sure if that's whats holding you up but I fought with it more than once.
