WORK tranny meaning it has a compound low " granny " first gear few will ever use ~ it simply cannot be used in daily driving .
Of course , that $75 junkyard Saginaw four speed from the wrecked '65 Chevelle is a direct bolt in and works very well against an InLiner 6 cylinder indeed .
ALL older American manual trannies have the same ratio in top gear ~ 1.1:1 , three speed or four speed .
Have fun but realize what you want and what you're doing before dropping in a four speed and expecting it to go faster 'cause it won't .
