I chose to go the local auto parts store route as well to get the lifetime warranty and easy replacement if I need it.

Not the least expensive way but the most convenient for a daily driver where the part will wear out eventually and need replaced. A nation wide chain store is usually not far away from work or home or a destination on a road trip.
