Re: 3.73 or 3.42 with 33" tires
Our ‘81 Jimmy had 2.56 for all you guys that think the 2.73 were bottom of the barrel.
My 72 Jimmy was 3.07 and with the 4 speed was actually a pretty nice combo with 235 75 15 tires. Was a DOG with the 33’s I put on it. 4.10 are perfect with 35’s and the SM465.
If you EVER plan to even consider 35’s get the 3.73. If 33’s are the top of the ladder and no overdrive, the 3.42 works fine.
