This is just for the 73-87 guys and I would not want to move the motor further towards the front either, makes no sense. They fit fine on the 67-72's. I'm still trying to find a way to "adjust" the driverside to fit both generations. I think I might have to bribe someone out there to make changes on that side and send it back to me so I can adjust the fixture
