i used old fashioned hardware store paint stripper and steel wool(and gloves) to do parts of my truck.i discovered after buying about 6 different brands of paint stripper,that nowadays,it's all junk.i remember a 100 years ago using that stuff,if you splashed a little on your arms,it'd burn like like the blazes.this crap now is like thick water.not much good but i didn't do a complete truck,only some panels.
