I ran the 40 series for two years. First with them dumped under the bed. I later ran them out the back. Running them out the back made a huge difference to in-cab sound! Makes them much more tolerable. I later switched to 50 series for the good of my neighbors They are dumped and sound as loud as the 40s out the back.

The muffler shop tech told me that a dumped setup causes the sound to reverberate between the ground and bed causing a lot of sound to be transferred into the cab.
