Here's yet another way.

In a pinch I've used a pair of dial calipers to mark the tube for a cut,

place the caliper over the mandrel bend and wiggle till you get the shortest distance. Mark the tube at both the inside radius and outside radius, then connect the two marks with a piece of tape,

Then cut with your method of choice
