I think you're getting a high cost because blasting a flat hood would be risky for the business because they are very easy to warp. Any thicker metal like a frame can be aggressively blasted without damage so in turn cheaper because its faster. We have chemically stripped hoods on these trucks just to not risk any warpage. I think the last set of fenders I had blasted inside and out was $150 but that was a few years back.
