One of my sons and I laid more pavers and bricks in the back yard. It's a somewhat humbling experience to be the go-fer, as opposed to telling the son to go-fer things. At least I was picking up sacks of mortar and putting them where he needed them- in the wheelbarrow to mix. My back is jacked, and I can't mix the mortar in the wheelbarrow and then sling it into where it needs to be.
I guess I have to be alive to complain, right? Right?
On a sad side note, one of the neighbors sold a wrecked late-model Suburban with a 5.7L engine for $1500 that had everything that I would have needed to convert my truck to LS power. It ran great. I am officially bummed. Yes, I now that there would have been additional work, but it would have cost less than rebuilding my 402. ************ Better luck next time, I guess.
