The bottom frame was too badly rusted, and had a crack damn near all the way thru the frame. The grid and foam were all trashed too. 
You’ll never believe all the problems that these seats have hiding under the cover. This is exactly the reason why I restore and repair EVERYTHING on the seat. Not just throw a pretty cover on what’s there, which is what a lot of upholstery shops do. |
