I rode my Harley to Orangeburg with the wife today. I took her to a thrift store that I had visited once before in my travels. I found an old amazing-condition rear view mirror in the store with an apparently broken bracket attached to it for $6.99. I figured that I would buy it, then modify my existing 67 GMC mirror bracket to fit it. I talked the store manager down to $4.00 and bought it.
When I arrived home I took the mirror to the 67 GMC to figure out how to modify my existing one, or create a new bracket to fit it into my truck. It was then that I was hit with a major surprise. The mirror I bought was the EXACT model that was already in my truck, just with a different bracket!!! What are the odds of THIS happening?!?! I removed the broken bracket off the new mirror, then mounted it onto my 67 mirror bracket. My old mirror was too cloudy, and the new one looks like new!
Today was my lucky day!
