OUCH---Any ideas on this ???

Been over two years now and in between health issues I have been taking a stab at working on the White Elephant. Welding is getting a bit better now I ran into this fitment issue. Back passenger side rear door pillar. I am thinking that I will just have to buy yet another part as it is 0ff a 1/4 of an inch. Another question is that when i bought the truck the rear corners had been done and the foam miracle fix was applied. They filled the corners and along the back where it would sink in between the floor pan and back wall. I dug it all out and both corners now can be pushed in about a 1/4". Should I tack weld the corners or just push it in from the back when i weld the door jamb patch piece on?
First pic shows how much the cab can be moved forward. Second line is where it can be pushed forward to.
Second pic show the fitment problem to the right of the red circle. The replacement piece is not deep enough to match up to door jamb by 1/4".
Third pic is basically useless to my problem prolly took out of frustration. LOL
