Thanks for the comments.
The issue I have is that the Transport Canada (federal) is telling the Alberta provincial government inspection agencies that 1975 and later trucks had catalytic converters, egrs and air pumps and I need to install them to pass provincial inspections for road worthiness.
Thing is; my truck never had any of them as I am the second owner, I have the RPO sheet from the dealer and comments from the original owner to the effect that is was sold as Heavy Duty to clear the emissions regs.

So, I am trying to prove to the Canadians that thruck truck is as manufactured- an uphill battle.

As an additional thought, I read an article about how SEMA is struggling to keep performance engines free of tougher emission standards coming from the new adminstration.
