So I'll ask about the L6 that came out... Was it a 230? 230 L6 heads were supposed to be tighter and have smaller stuff -- making for a free compression boost if bolted on a larger L6 like a 292. If they don't blow up.
250 is the most common. MY 1967 was the last year for 230s in trucks.
The 292 [4.8L] started in MY 1963. And continued until the GMT 400.

if memory is right a 250 no offense to anyone I considered them 250s boat anchors but did sell it to a purist so its life expectancy increased by at least another 40 years ....almost forgot about this small window 67 I was blessed to buy this out in Oregon in a pick n pull yard 16 years ago 1k shipped her east for 700.00 those were the days to remember
C-20 all original custom camper 283 4 speed granny helper springs etc. lots patina great work horse for me besides finding more projects used it for picking up topsoil mulch etc. then sold her here locally
after 3 years of fun and very little problems for its age and my application just good upkeep
