I like Crossfire 84's use of left over fender welt. I've got a roll of double back glass sealing tape out in the garage that a guy could put down a strip of along the top and lay the fender welt on it and it would never go any place.

Anything you do to keep the squeaks down and keep parts from rubbing on each other is a good thing as long as it is presentable.
