Here's a pic of how I mounted mine, I used a stud for ease of mounting the 2 pieces of shield and spark plug wire mount, but the mount for wires will only fit 7 mm wires, plus being bare metal leaves a lot to be desired, you could plastic dip them

Went through all my pics, and this is the only one I have of that area, the wires come straight down from the spark plugs to the clips you have shown, then to the clips on the oil pan clips, and then up to the brackets on the block by the distributor
I'm pretty sure the corvette wires are 7 mm,IIRC
