When I go to a parts store these days, I expect to be served by someone less knowledge than me on my particular vehicle (even though some think they're more knowlegeable that this old geez,,, er, man). Over here, a lot of the counter guys are either college students trying to make a buck or young people just starting out. Parts companies don't pay very much so you're going to get some newbies. One other thing to consider is that there are literally hundreds if not thousands of different vehicles and combinations of parts out there. No one can know everything about them.

Yeah, I get angry when I get the wrong part and say a few cuss words but then I blame myself for not thoroughly checking it in the first place or bringing the old one with me. The days of counter guys with extreme knowledge are gone.
That's what I was trying to get across.
