Exclamation Not all air cleaner tubes are created equal

Here is a comparison of two presumably small block heated air cleaner tubes. The white longer unit is correct for 4wd 1970-72 350 engines. I'm unsure what the other tube, which is black and shorter is correct for. The shorter black tube bolts on and fits the air cleaner, but it will clock the air cleaner snorkel closer to the brake master cylinder.

The original tube on my 1970 Blazer 350 was rough, so it was discarded. Fortunately, I had 2 spare correct long tubes, and 2 shorter tubes.
