Re: Dad's Dodge

Liquid tire balancer I think was too much, perhaps half of what it stated for stock tires. I rebalance the tires and seem to have gotten rid of most of the vibrations.

I replaced the input seal on the gear box again, as it started leaking already. This time I unthreaded the cap and also replaced the O-ring inside.

I noticed some growling sounds from the rear end and the pinion didn't feel that great when I had the drive shaft off. I decided to replace all the bearings in the rear axle, pinion, carrier, and wheel.

I found lots of pitting on the pinion bearings. It seems to be smooth now, but have not driven it very far yet. Old ring and pinion looked spot on and backlash was easy to get.

I also decided to try an under dash AC system and it should be here by Friday. I have never done any AC and this should be interesting to try and install. I need to figure out how to mount a compressor with all of the V-belts.

I also got tied of spilling my coffee so I made a drink holder, lol.
