I worked on it more this morning. I'm almost finished up with the welding and grinding. I want this to appear un noticeable when you look at the frame. I was going to plate the out side, but I think that may interfere with side tanks. So, I'm going to use the pieces I cut out of the frame and make sleeves that go inside the frame. They will bolt in and if I have room after I get the fuel tanks on, then I may plate the out side. I doubt it'll need it with a sleeve though. More pics.






Here's my brother starting to remove the old pieces left over from a 6.9 IDI cross member I had in it years ago.


Here's a pic of the DIY4X shackles I got. Notice how beefy they are!
