If your lookin for just a cruiser with some snot you should definetly convert it to a half ton. You would save yourself at least 1 sec off your et by just coverting it. Lows 13's with a 454 is very douable if I were to guess I would say you would probably need some where around 425hp to get to a mid 13 with your truck, and to get that power out of a 454 is cake.
