Re: 1969 C10 SWB - Big Block project

I do believe the engine compartment is finished! We have the new dual fans connected so that they power up either by the Painless Temp Sensor, when the A/C is turned on or manually with a toggle in the console (as a back up).

We removed the master cylinder and adjusted the brake booster rod to eliminate some residual line pressure. After talking with a friend of ours, we removed the 5.5 psi fuel pressure regulator completely. Our blueprinted Holley 3310 needed about 7 psi at idle so the regulator was hindering performance a little.

The A/C is charged and ready for the Summer heat. We love the Vintage Sure Fit system so far and will keep you updated on how well it works.

We also discovered that the Lokar neutral safety switch was defective on the floor shift. I called Lokar and they shipped out a new one yesterday at no charge. Great customer service and super nice car guys at Lokar.
