My new 73 Chevy K20 had NO hubcaps. I don't know if the split rims could even hold a hubcap?

And I remember when my mom bought her 1971 K10. It didn't come with hubcaps either so she made a big fuss about (as she is wont to do …

) so the dealer found some hubcaps and cut big holes in two of them so they would fit over the front hubs.

I can't remember hubcaps or not on my new 1980. I'd have to go dig out an old picture.
