An inch and a half of rain here yesterday and last night, so not much can get done. It finally cleared off and dried out just enough this afternoon so I could take a hike in the woods with the dog. The horses wanted to go with me too but I made them stay in the pasture
Maybe tomorrow it will be dry enough to take a ride.
Six hours, how many trees? Did you have to top them with the bucket lift? There's a disabled guy in the neighborhood who every few years hires me (good money!) to directionally fall a few trees around his place. Then he has some buddies from town that come up on a weekend and cut them up. He doesn't trust
them to drop the trees
I was over cutting firewood off of another neighbor's place a few weeks ago. Some of the trees were in pretty tight spots and one great big one right along a fence line. I'm somewhat amazed at myself sometimes that I can still put them right where I want them even though I don't do it every day any more.
