Re: Project Patina Azul
I also have been kicking around the idea making my seat look better until I can get it redone.
I came up with a cheap fix that will get me by till I can get the seat redone.I found some cheap blue pillow cases at Wal-mart for $5.I just happened have some matching blue thread in a sewing kit left behind by an old girlfriend. We're in bussiness
Then I went about tucking the two pillow cases into position. The idea I had was to use the cases to protect the foam and serve as a backing to stitch the remaining seat cloth to.
Then I realized that the needle I had would be a PITA to use.So tomorrow on the way home from work I will get a curved needle and some pins to hols everything in position while I try my hand at stitching all this together. It will probably come out looking like Frankenstein but it will protect the seat foam and hopefully look better
