If you still have the stock exhaust, make sure the riser valve(if it is still there) is working. I learned the hard way many years ago that too much heat on a Q-jet can screw it up, causing severe flooding. In my case, it was a collapsed inner wall on the OEM double wall Y-pipe blocking off one side that caused the problem.
If it is too late to return your newer troublesome Q-jet, worse case, you have a nice source of spare parts for future repairs.
