The sensor maybe junk but I would remove the stock sender, purchase an adapter for a "real" aftermarket oil pressure sender just for temporary. Auto Meter makes a pretty low cost 2" oil pressure gauge. Its electric so all you need for the gauge is 12 volt and ground and the the lead from the sender to the gauge.
Then run the van and see what it shows.
