Steven, forget my "Basics" if your tech sheet for the product you are using says different!

As far as wiping the primer down with wax and grease remover, I think that is over board big time unless you KNOW something has happened where it may be contaminated. Hell 95% of shops never touch the car with W&G remover until the right before the paint. That's not to say that wiping down bare metal before bondo or primer is bad, that's not to say that wiping down primer after sanding it prior to another application is bad, but realistically unless you KNOW something has gotten on it, it typically isn't done.

Some shops have stepped it up over the years, were I work it gets wiped down before primer for instance, but most don't do that.
