Got it together enough to go on a "field" trip the other day.
Replaced the fuel sending unit shortly after this is and I wasnt getting any fuel to the carb. Pulled my hair out trying to figure this one out. Turned out the fuel line fore/aft fuel pipe had a pin hole in it and wasnt building pressure. I mustve bumped it enough while taking down the gas tank. New 3/8ths feed pipe fixed that.
Shortly after I was fighting a sputtering during coast down, figured out to be overfueling. The carb floats must have had pinholes in them, they were full of gas. Replaced those, now shes running pretty good.
Lots of torque in this big block down low but feels like it falls on its face in higher revs....
