Well I should have known by now.
I was out in the shop most of the day but did not make it as far as I hoped due to another issue. I noticed that the floor just up from the inner rocker had a 1/4" bow when compared to the top lip of the rocker. I went back and forth on wether it would be a real problem or not and in the end I decided that I would be pretty choked if I had it all done and you could see a hump on the sill plate. So out came the grinder and another
Splice was made. It seems that name is going to stick.
So after all evening of welding and grinding, the inner rocker is ready to accept the outer!
