Yep, it evens says so in the link I put in post 2. GN realized that there was enough demand for 4x4 trucks to build their own at the factory.

Some time in there my Then step father was trying talk my mom into buying a 4x4 Suburban I'm not sure if it was an earlier conversion or a 60/61. I just remember that he was talking it up and she wasn't much interested in the idea.
