Black also goes in the same ring in which the screws reside, it hides them - and that ring is painted black in all 69-72. 71 only also has a full perimeter black ring around the whole grille shell.

Mines a 70. I wonder if new chrome ones will make the rest of the grill look odd since it’s def not new. Or I could paint them. Decisions decisions!
