I'm running a complete 89 frame and running gear. The box from the 89 has different holes in the frame but the lines clear, etc. one thing I found out recently is that the trucks with the heavier front axle have larger linkage and joints so look for one from a truck with the same axle you have. In my case both the 68 and the 89 listed F050 (5000 lb) front axle. I hope all of this makes sense.

PS, when it turned out that my original box was contaminated with brake fluid, I snagged one off of an 86 GMC school bus and it was identical to th e 89 C60 that was my donor. Hopefully that will open up some more options for you.
