I got my first one built and here are a few pics. I added to the gear the guide due to the fact that without it the slop in the bearing is close to coming off the motor gear.

I used studs for the motor (welded in), I was afraid that I was wearing out the thread's in the 1/8 steel plate with as many times as I had it on and off. And my Harbor Freight tap was not the greatest.

Please no comments on my stellar welding.

The template was right on and only had to grind it once to made the gears fit together.

Now I have to do the other one!
