At that point, contact cleaner thru the key hole. Its a sealed switch. Looking at one now.
As for the spring, SilverMiner is correct. Spring needs tension. This 90 is first burb I've had in long, long time Im not parting out. I'll look in my books and see how GM changed the insides. Pretty sure power regulators stayed close in design.
