The top of my crew cab is in kind of bad shape. I was thinking I could sand it down a little to clean it up, hit it with some gloss rattle can, and then spray plasti-dip over it.

It WILL work with primer but yes it does get "sucked in" a little deeper so you need to spray it on a little thicker in those areas so you have more to pull on when removing it.

I use the gallons and use a wagner spray gun (airless). works great.
