I use a spark plug air hold adapter, a 4’ piece of hose and bring he hose in the cab, bump starter till i feel pressure, go out and rotate crank to line up the timing marks, makes it a one man job.
All other methods of finding TDC on number one suck unless you choose to watch the intake valve close with the valve cover off.
