Re: Paint choice

Any paint is repairable if you have a painter with enough skills. Bob Hill showed me spots on his Candy red (real candy paint) that he had retouched that it was impossible to tell that they had been redone and he could do that on about anything.

I remember those flat finish hoods on Road runners turning dull real fast in the 70's when they were the hot lick. Guys have been fighting that part ever since and I don't actually know if you can get around it happening.

I ran my 48 in various shades of primer for so many years that the flat paint has no appeal to me and just looks like a good primer job which it have to believe is the actual intent of Hot rod Flatz from the beginning.

My ongoing truck projects:
48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six.
71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
