thanks for your ideas guys, but I sorta went with both, just RTV'D the 4 corners where it made a sharp bend. ran my primer device yesterday and no leaks so far. But, who knows what will happen when the engine gets up to temp. and full pressure.

the pan is a 8 quart, just a heads up, they didn't deburr inside where it was cut and welded so be careful when you wipe it down
