Back in the day...around 1968...There was drag racing by the waterfront in my town...& along the water front there was elevated R/R tracks with huge stone pillars...There was a guy that had a 66 Dodge Coronet 500 - 383 A/T turquoise with a black vinyl top & magnum 500 wheels...The car was absolutely stunning. He was hitting the bottle all night long & the more he drank the worse he hammered the car. Before the night end, he hit that granite stone abutment at about 40 MPH...he was able to back up & continue beating that car to death until it stopped running.....That incident made such an impression on me I will never for get it.....I remember it like it was yesterday..............
